Giannis Antetokounmpo exits NBA’s Health & Safety Protocols

On Christmas Eve, the Bucks received an MVP-level gift as star foward Giannis Antetokounmpo exited the league’s Health & Safety Protocols, just ahead of their marquee Christmas Day matchup with the Boston Celtics (2:30 ET; ABC).

Antetokounmpo, who entered the protocols on Dec. 14, spent 10 days sidelined; the Bucks went 3-2 in the five games he missed, and sit third in the East at 21-13 heading into Saturday’s action. Though he’s missed eight games this season, Antetokounmpo has been his usual productive self when healthy, averaging 27.0 points, 11.6 rebounds, 5.8 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.7 blocks in 32.7 minutes per game.
