Yes, the same software that powers your iPhone. This also means that you can run into issues on an occasionally basis. When that happens, you need a good old restart to fix everything up.

Step 1. First and foremost, locate the power outlet in which your Apple Studio Display is connected.

Step 4. Plug the Studio Display back in and let it start normally.

That’s it, your Studio Display has completely rebooted itself and issues you may have been facing should be resolved now.

Remember, there are some issues that could be directly tied to software. In order to resolve those, you have to wait for official software updates to arrive. If you want to check whether or not there is a software update available for you, simply go to System Preferences > Software Update on your Mac.
