Virgin River’s fans ‘work out’ major season 5 death as new evidence emerges

The fifth season of Virgin River has finally wrapped filming with the Netflix series expected to return in the next few months. As such, the fandom has been coming up with their ideas of what lies ahead for Mel Monroe (played by Alexandra Breckenridge), Jack Sheridan (Martin Henderson) and the rest of the town. Now, thanks to an exclusive poll by Express.co.uk, many feel they’ve worked out who could be the next character to bow out of the show.

Virgin River is no stranger to a heartbreaking exit or two during its four-season run on Netflix so far.

From Lilly’s (Lynda Boyd) devastating farewell to Calvin (David Cubitt) meeting his demise in explosive circumstances, the past few years have seen plenty of exits.

But which Virgin River character could end up packing their bags in season five, or even meet a more deadly end?

According to Virgin River fans, there’s one man who’s more likely than most to meet his maker in the fifth season.

Express.co.uk asked readers who they felt was most likely to die or exit Virgin River in season five.

Out of 1,977 responses, the character who came out on top was the villainous Vince (Steve Bacic).

A staggering 588 people (30 percent) who entered the poll think the menacing character will make his exit after his bone-crushing confrontation with Preacher (Colin Lawrence) in the season four finale.

However, he’s not the only man readers think could bow out of the series as he’s closely followed by Dr Cameron Hayek (Mark Ghanime).

While unlikely, a few fans also think Hope McCrea (Annette O’Toole) could also bid farewell, earning 121 votes (six percent).

Meanwhile, 347 opted for other characters to leave the show in the fifth run.

But will fans’ predictions come to fruition? They’ll have to wait until season five rolls around to find out for sure.

In the meantime, Virgin River’s stars have been sharing snaps from their final days on the set of the Netflix drama, sending excitement levels sky-high for the new series.
